conflicting constraints

There are a lot of constraints that get applied as I generate geometry in a sketch. It would be cool if, when trying to apply a constraint to a sketch and it produces over-constrained geometry, it would identify the conflicting constraints and give you the opportunity to override/delete.

we agree that the feedback on constraint conflicts can be improved.  Your request has been added to our backlog (FUS-24732) so that our development team can investigate solutions here.

best,

Jamie

A popup when an overconstrained situation occurs would be great. It would identify which ones are involved and allow you to delete or at least identify any you don't care about. This could be extended to cases where you are trying to move something and it won't budge, a "show constraints with delete"  option would make this easier to control. Given the extensive constraints created automatically and the difficulty figuring out what is in play has created many fustrating moments as I work with this software. Great program, but can be finicky.

Hi everyone,

As we prepare to update our sketch roadmap I wanted to provide an update for this specific request. This is on our roadmap and is being reviewed for possible future work. As that gets closer we will share more about the specific items we are working to address and ask for additional input.

Thanks,

John
