This topic came up during the last Fusion 360 Customer Advisory Board meeting and I pointed this idea out. It was relayed to us that the implementation at the time only worked in Direct Modeling mode, so no timeline. As it turned out it is much more difficult to implement with the timeline enabled.
thanks @TrippyLighting yer I have seen the math behind making a gear it quite understandable and easy it's been around for 00 of years.
and I read a write up on the math involved in doing a gear in cad it had words in it that I have never heard off, it was only one page but it was so far over my head it was not funny so them only being able to get it working in DM is understandable.
