GEOMETRIC TOLERANCE WITHIN HOLE DIALOGUE

GEOMETRIC TOLERANCE WITHIN HOLE DIALOGUE

I would like to see better integration between the hole dialogue box and geometric tolerancing. At the moment it’s possible to edit only the dimensional tolerance associated with the hole but it is difficult to attach the geometric tolerance in the way required within the British standards; BS8888.

The leader should come from the tolerance box to the hole, aligned with the hole center, with the hole quantity and size information floating above the tolerance box not the other way around.

Is it possible to include an additional 'tick' box in the 'Precision and tolerance' window that would allow the user to specify that geometric tolerances are associated with the dimension and therefore open up the 'Feature control frame' window. When the dimension is created it should look like the image taken from BS8888.

I totally agree with you post.

How is everyone else doing it?
