Allow a BULK IMPORT of Attachments

It is highly tedious and annoying to attach a pdf or a dwg file to a list of items in a workspace. Having the ability to bulk upload attachments to specific items in a workspace would be ideal for mass drawing updates or file updates.

One solution would be importing a zip file of the attaching files and an excel file that would have the item descriptor in one column and the corresponding file name in the other column.

I totally agree.  I've wanted this as well.  Perhaps you could have a column in you Excel worksheet with a link to the file location.  The, PLM360 would grad the file and attach it.

 We definitely would like to see progress on this.   If PLM360 allows for attachments in the first place, it should also have the ability to upload/ download in bulk.  We want to have control of the files we attach and that also means being able to search for it.

Creating customization  using the REST api is a challenge for the average user I presume.

note that some of the comptition (even Windchill!) does bulk imports and linking, so it shouldn't be considered an unusual request.

Kindly make use of our ReST API to seed attachments en masse into the tenant. There are no immediate plans to introduce bulk attachment load in next six months. For info on the API take a peek at the following:
