Opening a File With Vault Explorer

Opening a File With Vault Explorer

Can you add the possibility to choose how Vault Explorer will open file, when double-click? Because actually, when double-click an assembly file (IAM) in Vault Explorer (Workgroup or +), it will always open this files with option release-biased. But many people want to double-click on this assembly an open the none-release-biased assembly. Actually, the only method is to use the Open-from-Vault command in Inventor Vault-addin. Thanks in advance.

This is a great idea to consider in the Vault roadmap. The configuration window in the "Open" command could be selected "Release Biased" or "Non Release Biased" and it would be interesting to allow select more than just one file to perform check-out.

Hello @ihayesjr

We have some customers facing this same problem. It would be interesting to have a configuration window in Open where we could select the Released-biased and non-released-biased option for all files including Content Center Parts.

Following @william.pick tests, this problem only occurs when we open the assembly through Open Vault Explorer. If we open the same assembly with Content Center items through the Vault tab within Inventor, we get the assembly correctly.
