Don't Let the Job Processor Consume an Inventor License

The job processor also pulls an Inventor license when it is processing Inventor files meaning that I can not have it running during business hours. To me there should be a method for it to update DWF files without consuming an Inventor license

In your scenario, does it need to run on a dedicated machine Mike?

Reason I ask is that the situation for using Job Processor has improved slightly in 2018 in that you can now have two usernames connect to Vault on the same machine and only consume 1 Vault license. This means you can be logged into the Thick client with your normal user account, and have a separate account logged into Job Processor with magic abilities (e.g. updating released drawings with Rev letter changes.) I'm just wondering if the behaviour has changed for Inventor.

We just upgraded to Vault Pro, and I'm blown away that a seat of Inventor is required to update properties.

Couldn't Autodesk just make a version of Inventor that doesn't have a GUI to accomplish this?
