Why not have Inventor "variable" partameters exposed on to the 2D asset as a dynamic parameter within AutoCAD. example of which could be a conveyor with a length parameter, could this not be displayed just like a dynamic block when in the autocad environment??
When I click Sync Inventor it locks up my ACAD while the sync is taking place. This prevents me from accessing other drawings that are currently open in other tabs (drawings that are not being synced). It would be nice to continue working on another drawing while the syncing is taking place without having to open another instance of ACAD.
By creatingan element withvariants.Nooperationsare updatedwhen changingvariantdecals. Itshould updateall transactionswithout exception. You should be ableto edit the2Dblockto be generated. To putelements in differentlayers, colors, line types, attributes, etc.. Ifyou edit thegenerated2D blockfactory (InAutoCAD Architecturefora changeofcolor, linetype, attributes, etc..),Might not workinAutoCADflow->Inventorcorrectly.
When we authorize an assembly asset we can manipulate only assembly parameters (Key Parameters Window).
I need to manipulate parts and subassembly parameters too.
Often when we create assembly using Top-Down process, we manage this assembly by skeleton or main multibody part, which consist all main parameters of an assembly. There are no ways by manipulate them from assembly parameters.
IF I am not snapping to a DWG or to a grid - I ALWAYS want to move my asset immediately after placement. I have to go and select reposition. Why not just have the reposition triad be the placement triad?
