Dear beloved developers, I am sorry but it's been a while that: Manual meshing mode is the worse with refinement regions. There is something to implement in there. I've seen many ideas about RR, but I'll triple it anyway 😛 some of them are dated from 2014. I bet it has already happen to you reader: When you deal with multiple refinement regions and you accidentally click on one of those big blue arrows, the corresponding prescribed RR value will be canceled. Then, you are welcomed to re-implement it again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some (super great) ideas to implement for RR in manual mesh mode: 1) Having the implemented/validated refined regions appearing in the left-hand-side design study bar. (The ability to toggle on/off regions in automatic mode is quite useful, why not in manual mode too?). 2) Like others, having the possibility in manual mesh mode to clone/duplicate instead of manually note somewhere on the desk (lx, ly, lz, x, y, z), then create a new box, and then etc... you know the story (Yes, cloning one RR in automatic mode is possible ! just by sliding it away, spread changes, and rebuild mesh definition. Btw, where the rebuild function for manual meshing is at ? 3) Approximate mesh count also... it can be done manually yes, but it would so much better to have a small indicator somewhere implemented. 4) Why not having a proper wider dialog menu full of control options like: - regions names - attributed colors, - lock option, - fading big blue arrows option, - hiding regions option. - and plus anything you can think useful Look below to see the potential 🙂 This is the bigger I could get, and still... the Step 1 zone is not adjustable. It makes difficult to get a summary or to manipulate regions in a global manner (instead of clicking region 1, modify it, press enter, clicking region 2, modifying it, press enter, clicking regions, etc etc etc etc etc...) 5) Why not having a more "horizontal" layout style rather than the "vertical" layout style. Picture the way its done with the Autocad layer control menu. 6) In the picture below (for example), it is hard to see through with all those general blue mesh seeds. What about the ability to toggle OnorOff these little mesh seeds of the general model (in light blue color) ? Exactly like what is implemented for RR option: "Display distributions" 7) Ohh And I almost forgot: Having the possibility to change Visual Style while RR dialog box is opened !!!! (How many times I forgot to go Outlined style before opening RR dialog. And then, I can see nothing, so I close the menu but some message pop up: Warning, regions n*1, 2, 3, ... are not defined..) That's a lot but it's because we care and we love Thank you !
