Fix the broken bulk lifecycle change. It doesn't work at all with manual revisioning. There should also be a field in the Bulk Lifecycle change dialog box to allow setting all items to the same Rev Letter if desired. I added new drawings to an ECO and want to set their lifecycle change and new revision letter. If I click "Edit" and use the drop down menu for an individual item to set the lifecycle to "Release", it changes the "To" column entry to red text indicating that an entry is required, and allows me to type a letter in the "To" column. So far so good. However, if I use Bulk Lifecycle Change and change the lifecycles for multiple items, it does NOT put the red text in the "To" column for those files, and does NOT allow me to type a letter in that column. Clicking 'Save' brings up a vague error message: "Failed to save, xxxxx.dwg has errors." No information given on what the error is, but I suspect it is the entry in the 'To' column left blank. I went back and changed the lifecycles for those items one by one in Edit mode, using the dropdown menu in the 'Lifecycle' column, and it allowed me to type a letter in the 'To' column and saved without errors. However it looks like whatever script enables typing in the 'To' column does not execute for a Bulk Lifecycle Change, rendering that feature unusable, and requiring one-by-one lifecycle changes. I submitted a support request to our support company, and they passed along a message from Autodesk that "this is not currently supported in Fusion Lifecycle. We are reviewing to improve the Bulk Lifecycle Change process to make it work with Manual Revisioning. This will be an enhancement to the existing feature and will be released in the future." I appreciate that these things take time, but this isn't a request for a new enhancement or new feature; this is a request to make the system work as intended. For the Bulk Lifecycle Change to simply not work with Manual Revisioning is a major bug in the system. Meanwhile, I alone have half a dozen ECOs with 100+ files each, and don't have time to manual set two properties via dropdown menu for these 600 files. Others in our company have larger ECOs. So, I am submitting this issue here, in the hopes that it will receive votes, gain some traction, and expedite the urgency of delivering a fix to the broken system. Again, not asking for an enhancement or new feature; just asking that the features in the system work as intended. I think there should be 5 total choices no matter what you are doing. The selection drop down could read: Release Revise Obsolete Release Manual Revise Manual Then there is no need for a global Automatic / Manual setting. Thank you for your consideration, and we urgently look forward to this bug being fixed.
