Overlaying Report Types

Status: Accepted
by Distinguished Contributor obourne on ‎11-16-2012 08:26 AM

I want to overlay two report types - Stacked and Line charts. My reason is that I want to create a chart of "hours needed" for all projects company wide by month for an entire year (hence a stacked chart) but I want to overlay available man hours on top of that so I can visually see where I'm short workers.

Having visibility into future labor needs is critical for senior management as our hiring cycle can take months.

Shortcuts on dashboard

Status: Future Consideration
by LaineShipman on ‎09-26-2014 07:22 AM

I want to be able to add a shortcut to the search feature of the document control window on the start up home page when I open datastay.  Currently its a few extra steps to get there and page loading can take a bit.  I'd like a faster way to get to what I need to see.

This is strictly a UI type improvement.  We have multiple use cases where allowing for public reports to be opened from the dashboard report section would help greatly.  These could be anything from open user tasks (non-WF related) in certain workspaces or a list of open project items.  Our users have repeatedly asked for that even if the information is two clicks away in the reports section.  This would be benefitial when you have reports that you use to drive process rather than make decisions.  Especially because the charts do not have drill down capability.

I have several questions to Report chart. In attached is one example where is problem with displaying of values on axe and above the column.

Is it possible to setup format of values (f.e. from 3.6 to 3600.00)?

Is it possible to setup Show Values in default?

Are you improving and developing this tool in short time?

Thank you for answers!

descriptor Colour.PNG

I want that color to be displated in the descriptor. Then I can identify the items more easily.

Hi Tim, This is a good request, but have you consider using the Edit View (pencil) to move the Status to the "Showing Columns" this will also allow you to see the color flag.

We would like the option to use a runtime filter with a chart so that we could use charts in the following two scenarios.

1. A dashboard chart would allow a runtime filter based on the current logged in user, allowing the same dashboard chart to be reused on many user's dashboard but only displaying content in the context of the user.

2. Adding a chart to the item details tab via iFrame and passing a filter value that is available from the item details, which would provide a visual status on many items that are related to the current item being viewed.

Item Viewer

Status: Future Consideration
by Contributor Colgan on ‎03-26-2013 03:35 AM

Hey Guys,

We've had a request as to whether it would be possible to have the Item Viewer in workpsaces collapsed by default. It would be my preference to keep them expanded so perhaps it would be a setting whereby the chooser decides what way they want to view the Items.

This is an interesting request. We will add this to our future enhancement list.
