I have set up a Copy Design rule set named 'Models and Drawings' containing: (I simplified the setup for this example) Rule 'ipt' -> if extension = 'ipt' then property prop1 is set to blank Rule 'iam' -> if extension = 'iam' then property prop2 is set to blank Rule 'dwg' -> if extension = 'dwg' then property prop3 is set to blank Rule 'generic' -> if file name contains * then prop4 reset With this set the three different documents (ipt, iam and dwg) are handled all in a different way. Finally they _all_ will have their prop4 reset. But the issue is that prop4 is never reset. After digging with the support team it's discovered that that once the first rule executes 100% properly, Vault bails from the other rules. It means that the first rule that when Vault applies a rule, all rules below are skipped, i.e.: If ipt,iam or dwg rule is executed, the generic rule will be ignored. The UI isn't clear in this and documentation does not mentioned this behavior. The development team is going to correct the documentation... ...what is not my preferred solution. 😞 I don't like to define the same property behaviors in each rule, it makes management of it much more cumbersome. My proposal: All rules defined in the set must run, the condition inside the rule should define if it needs to be executed. Not the fact if a previous rule has been executed successfully already.
