Hello, The Vault add-on inside Inventor or other Autodesk product is a real pain for many customers. Many Autodesk customers are engineering firms or subcontractor that working on different projects and for different company in same time. As you know, since COVID-19, time to work in remote also change business strategy. And personally, the Autodesk Vault add in is totally out of this new reality. Before 2021 it was possible to switch Vault integration Add-in to Vault Basic, Workgroup or Pro with the regedit and change some value. But now is a real pain! They need to completely uninstall a Vault Pro to reinstall a Vault Workgroup to be able to use their inventor inside a new environment. Also, your link was updated and explain that the only solution is to uninstall instead the regedit tips. https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Logging-in-from-Autodesk-Inventor-into-Autodesk-Vault-the-message-appears-The-license-obtained-is-incompatible-with-the-server.html Just imagine that I I’ve Inventor Pro 2021 installed on my computer and work for 3 different companies. One use Vault Basic, Other use Vault Workgroup and one other Pro!! I am remembering in the past that use Inventor Basic and try to modify Inventor Pro piping… I need Pro to do that. Good, now Autodesk offer only pro for all and is perfect. Now why I cannot connect to a Vault Basic or Vault Workgroup with my Vault Pro??? It could be so simple that if I bought a Vault Pro client, I am able to be connected to any vault server type. Also, why Autodesk remove the possibility to activate the right Vault Add-in inside Inventor and simply change one registry key? If we need to install our 3 Vault client, why simply not allow Inventor to switch this in his options???
