When opening a file from Inventor, you can choose released or non-released biased. But when opening directly by double-click on a file in Vault Explorer, you can choose.

I propose to add an option (user choice) to choose the default option.

UDP Mapping

Status: Accepted
by Contributor m.sabotto on ‎07-12-2013 12:03 AM

HI,

If I'm not wrong, at this time, Vault is able to map and import existing iProperties coming from "User Defined Property" property set only.

If for some reason or particular customization you need to create your own PropertySet with custom iProperties, you will not be able to import them into Vault UDPs.

I think it would be very useful to extend this feature and allow administrators to map iProperties from any Property Set.

Just for an example, with this feature available, you'll be able to import into vault the "IsCustomPart" iProperty that's simplify rules to understand if a ContentCenter part is a "real" CC part or not.

Thank you in Advance

Support for NTLM Protocol

Status: Accepted
by Board Manager ihayesjr on ‎03-12-2013 03:57 PM

We have customers which require the use of the NTLM protocol for email notifications.  Currently, Vault Professional only support SMTP protocol for this feature.

Please at support for the NTLM protocol.

Currently if a user selects Delete working copy on Check in it does not remember the setting

Make the option persistent so users don't have to click this option everytime

Possible Admin Option to enforce a Global Setting that all deletes all files during checkin

I understand this is not ideal for MFG users using Inventor, but it is relevant for ACAD and AEC customers

Copy files to correct revision Scheme

Status: Accepted
by stefanbergsten on ‎06-25-2013 06:08 AM

Hi.

We have a customer using two different revision schemes. One for external rev (A,B,C,D ..) and one for internal revisions (a,b,c,d ..). Today they manually switch between them.

We have a problem with copying files. If i use Copy Design to create a file from a revision A (external rev scheme) file, Vault will create a new file in the same revision scheme as the first one. Not the default start revision wich is a (internal rev scheme).

We then have to change the revision to a (internal rev scheme) and start working with the new file.

If I now try to change the revision to A Vault will give me an error saying that this revision already has been used and i can not get around this problem unless I delete the file from vault and "re-checkin" or create another copy from the rev a file??

My suggestion for a solution would be to :

be able to control wich scheme to copy to

or

be able to purgethe start revision version.

or

Best Regards

Going back to former drawing

Status: Accepted

Heelo,

I think it would be very pleasant to go back to a former drawing once you have looked to another drawing.

For instance, I look at a drawing , 12345, and then I want to look at drawing 23456 for a while. Now I want to go back to drawing 12345. I have to go to all the sub directories and find 12345 again.

Why not a go back button?

Even to go back twice or three times.

Other programs has such a button.

Enable- /Disable MenuItems

I'm not sure if it is allowed to request new API features in Idea Exchange.

It should be possible to enable/disable custom commands introduced by a vault extension. E.g. if a command is only available for a special user (Administrator) the command should be disabled for all other users.

Custom Views per Saved Search

Status: Future Consideration
by Valued Contributor sathersc23 on ‎10-30-2012 06:58 AM

I have multiple saved searches that tell me different information. I need different views for each to maintain that information rather than resetting it each time I look at a different saved search.

Consider this Scenario

(VP2013) Connected Workgroup

Workgroup A (Admin Ownership)

   Vault SiteServer 1

Workgroup B

   Vault Site Server 2

If you log into "Vault Site Server 1" and initiate a "Replicate Now" on a database on "Vault Site Server 2".

This message is written into the ADMS Console log on "Vault Site Server 1"

15/02/2013 9:30:18 PM Replication has been initiated.

The Wish is to give more information on this and similar commands. It would be useful if the log file said

15/02/2013 9:30:18 PM Filestore Replication has been initiated for <database x> on <Vault Site Server>. Refer to the log files on <Vault Site Server> for more information.
