I'd like to have the ability to write Server Side Extensions which can be executed when an Webservice Command Event is fired.
That would make it possible to keep data consistent more easily (currently, if a client doesn't have the necessary Extension installed, the event is not handled).
I know, you can create a Job to be executed on the JobProcessor to circumvent that problem, but Jobs are delayed and events would be more immediate.
An alternative solution could be some Server Based extension deployment. If extensions could be stored on the server and each client executed/loaded these, the problem might be solved too.
Add an ability to paste names in table while renaming, like in a properties editing wizard.
Unix/Windows-like shell to execute commands and scripts.
Or, at least, navigating to file/folder by entering path in text format: "$/dir1/dir2/assy.ipt".
It would be nice if a custom Vault Explorer command could launch any of the default commands. For example, a custom command could generate some files then launch the default Check-in Command.
Hi sirs,
I have various customers that need a BOM with all toghether, PARTS AND ASSEMBLIES LIST and its quantities. For cost department its is very interesting
Regards,
Hi there!
Can you extend add support of audi, video, etc. files - not only CAD? For example, at now I can't assign UDP to mp3 tag.
Though, provide ability to write create translators using SDK.
Hello!
Let's build and place an object model chart in our Idea Exchange, like this one for Inventor:

Also usefull describe charts for client applications: describe GUI and internal scheme (including links to Vault dll's):
- Vault Explorer
- Autoloader
- CAD applications add-ins
- Job Processor
- Wedserver
- Custom apps
- etc.
Using this scheme we can see what are we missing, check collisions, and others.
Because when I'm trying to research functions I need to be able to open multiple pages/tabs in the help.
I'd suggest keeping it restricted to Autodeskers for editing of course.
Probably useful feature - create two sides for comfortable file operations.
