Move Ice node with Python

Hello,

I am fairly new to Softimage and Ice.
Would like to know if it is possible to move nodes in the IceTree using python.
What I would likt to do is get the position of a selected node and build some nodes next to it. But having a hard time finding it in the documentation.

that would be awesome.. but the positions of ice nodes is not exposed in scripting, afaik.
if you generate an ice tree programmatically, you could try to generate an ICE compound XML instead. the xml has all the information necessary

Yeah, it would be nice to add things on the fly.
