I created a symbol in symbol builder and I can see it in the drawing, but auto cad 2009 will not let me select the symbol so I can't modify it, delete it or do anything with it. It's like it's there but autoCAD can't see it. Has anyone out there experienced the same problem and if so is there a fix?

I'm a bit confused about your "symbol".
Have you have created a proper i-Drop block and are you attempting to "drop" it from a web page into your drawings ???

I built the symbol in ACAD Electrical 2009 symbol builder and inserted it into the drawing like I have done many times before. For some reason auto cad does not see the symbol even though it is visable on the drawing.
