    idrop not functioning

    I am unable to drag & drop any idrop items into a drawing. I have tried 2008 & 2009 versions. When clicking on an idrop item in IE (using either left or right mouse button), the idrop cursor becomes the proverbial circle with a line. Dragging this to a drawing does not change the circle/line and nothing appears in the drawing. Something is not right - it should be obvious but it isn't to me - what am I doing wrong?what do I need to do/add/modify...?

    I use i-Drop with ACAD 2008, no problem. Haven't updated to 2009 myself but check the comments in this thread where i-Drop has been used with 2009.

    I've looked at the other threads and there are others who seem to have had the same problems but no one seems to have received an answer that I can apply to my problem. Simply, I cannot drag any idrop item to anywhere in AutoCAD and then see the dragged image, even tho I have the idrop cursor. The idrop cursor will carry into the tool palette but nothing appears. Dragging to the work space yields only the circle/line combo cursor that indicates that nothing is being inserted. If someone could explain the basics, beyond just drag & drop, I would appreciate the help...

    Have you tried i-Dropping from my web site into ACAD? (see my previous post)

    Did it work for you?

    It works for me and others so the site and blocks must be OK.

    If all else fails, uninstall then reinstall i-Drop.

    After that, can't help further as my problems have been creating the i-Drop component files, not in i-Dropping itself.

    How does one uninstall the i-drop program in order to reinstall it again.
    I can't find it in my "Add/Remove programs" and i can't find an unistall program anywhere.

    Check "setidrophandler" if it is set it to style....if it is set to block the idrop will not work....

    Hi guys, been having similar problems with I-drop.. I'm running Architecture 09 and Architecture 08, plus Impression. The easiest way around it is to download I-drop again and simply reinstall it, not too sure if it's a long-term fix or not but time will tell! Download link below:

    Have you installed any AutoCAD2010 products, other than Drawing Review 2010?

    Word is that the 2010 products breaks the funtionality of i-drop in earlier versions. I ran into this last week while trying to bring tool palettes from my catalog to my workspace. Uninstalling and reinstalling software, I verified that installing ADR2010 was ok, but the minute I installed Drawing TrueView 2010, the i-drop kept breaking.

    Autodesk apparently is refusing to comment on the issue
