I am trying to use iDrop to insert dynamic blocks from a DWG via website. Is there anyway to add the explode command into the iDrop event or possibly another way to have iDrop reference a block in a DWG rather than insert the whole DWG as a block?

No
If you use i-Drop you have to explode after you insert the drawing.
