The descriptions seem a little unclear, so perhaps I am wrong. It seems that you can use i-drop to take content from web pages and place them in i-drop aware applications. Is this more or less the idea?

I-drop is an activeX application that take its parameter from your XML file and in which it is imbedded with HTML.

It has a simple step that will help you to drag AutoCAD, Inventor drawing from your website and insert the drawing in either AutoCAD or Inventor Application. It is like FTP the drawing from some where website and insert in either of the above application.
When I say insert it means AutoCAD "insert" command.

ie it is the other way of transferring drawings from the website.
