I'm in the middle of producing a AutoCAD drafting website with areas of idrop blocks, when dragging the block into a drawing I receive a AutoCAD error message 'There was an error getting remote file http://...'
Could you give me some direction, is this a programming error or should I ask my web host to allow access to these files.

Check the drawing name that you have on XML file and the drawing file. Or the path that you put on XML file might not be the same where the drawing file is.
If you need further help, attach your XML file and I will try to help

Here is your xml file and I would like to tell you what it mean and look what you did .
=======================
====================
You put your PEO001.dwg in this path " People/PEO001"
But it would be good to put like "./People/PEO001" where dot repesent the current folder.
Otherwise, it will be immpossible for the server to get your local path.
If it does not solve your problem, attach the xml, the drawing and the pitmap image and then I will fix your problem and respond back to you

Thanks again.
I have got rid of the error message, great help.
Now when I drag the block in I just get the web address of the block and not insert the drawing block.
Any other advice?

I fix the problem.
you do not have to use
"http:\\idrop.autodesk.com\idrop-schema.xdr"
I change your file.
If it is not working let me know
