Hi
I'm trying to write a app that will enable our users to search our detail components and generate an i drop page that will enable them to drag and drop there detail components into Revit.
I'm really close, I know this can be done as there is an online application similar to what i'm trying to do in the autodesk labs web site http://labs.autodesk.com/technologies/contentsearc h2/
http://cs.labs.autodesk.com/
When i drag and drop using idrop I get an error message in revit "Failed to open document"
my xml for a typical component is,
i'm obviously missing something, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Anthony

Can you post a link to the actual project on the autodesk labs site ? Are you sure they are actually using idrop to enable drag&drop on the sample site ?

I played with different application my changing the XML file parameters.
It works for me and try.
I do not have time to do what you ask me

Hi Anthony, i think the guys at BIMcache are working on something that might help you achieve what you're after - their product was demo'ed at the Revit Technology Conference in Sydney (June 2008)
Visit www.bimcache.com to register your interest in their application

Hi Anthony,
we are working on a SQL based i-drop site for AutoCAD, ADT, MAX & also Revit...
Have a look at http://www.neuwerk.biz/index.php?lnk=4
If your are interessed, we can help you. At first you should have a look at http://www.autodesk.de/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=1 23112&id=1862830
Good luck.
