    I-Drop Problem

I am clearly doing something fundamentally wrong and hope someone can help. I have a set of dwg elements I wish to use i-drop to distribute. However after much messing around I still cannot get this to work from a web page - I consistently get the message "xxxx.dwg was created in an incompatible version of AutoCAD". This is when I view the page and drag/drop from IE where the URL is shown as http://www.excitech.co.uk/ss/ACA_idrop/electric.htm
Yet if I load the same page into IE directly from the server e.g. e:/websites/excitech/ss/ACA_idrop/electric.htm it works.
    Any suggestions?

I get the same error as you. What software did you use to create them?

Here's a link to some i-Drop parts on my web site.
See if they work for you.
Experience has tought me that i-Drop doesn't work with ACAD 2004. Our reseller was asked to check and totally failed to provide ANY information on i-Drop!!!
What version are you using? I've got 2007 & 2008

Well I find your i-drop components work! Well done! I successfully dragged them into AutoCAD 2009. So what are you doing that I am not? I still suspect my problem is to do with some set up on our server. Is your server your own or hosted?
I am not sure how the components were produced as a colleague did them, I just have to publish them.
    Maybe you need AutoCAD 2009?

If in doubt, load the components into ACAD and save them back out as that way they should be flagged as "true" ACAD files.
You don't need ACAD 2009, I'm pretty sure mine were created in ACAD 2002.

Really Autodesk are not putting any effort behind i-Drop any more, which is a pity as there's more I could use it for. Just concerned that one day i-Drop won't work any more and there's nothing to replace it!

Good luck and let me know how you get on!
