After using the scanline renderer for quite some time, I thought I might give Mental Ray a go and I've been hooked ever since. Below is my first use of the renderer, so its nothing fancy in terms of lighting . I needed a sort of overcast lighting effect coming through semi-opaque white glass windows. I designed everything by hand, and the marbled textures are made up of several mix-maps with fractal noise and bitmaps I made in photoshop. Sadly I ran out of time on the image and had turn it in before I was fully satisfied with it
