Updating to 1.8.674 keeps the CPU busy

Initial update experience.

Whenever I launch Fusion 360 now, this notification comes up:

There does not seem to be much network activity, though.

Then fans hum. CPU consumption looks like this when only having the home page open.

...Now, at least 5-10 minues later fans quiet down and CPU is back at nice 3%. Does anyone know what was happening? Is there something installation-wise that happens after I've launched the program? Shouldn't that be part of install?

Hardware: Macbook Air, Core i7, 4GB RAM, OS X 10.8.5

Further notes:

About screen's list of programs is not taking it well if also Sim 360 is installed.

With this update Fusion 360 and the materials libraries will be updated.

As you see the update for your material library is ongoing after the main update. The main update installer doesn't handle that, it only updates Fusion 360 program files.

If you have downloaded many materials from Exchange Materials this process might take a while.
