Save as DXF crash

Hi!

I need to export a simple 2D sketch to DXF file.

When i selected the "Save as DXF", set the filename and pressed the SAVE button, the Fusion crashed.

I attached the design achive file.

Anyone else experiencing this error?

OSX 10.9.3

Fusion 2.0.1149

Hi Adam,

Many thanks for letting us known the stability issue on exporting DXF!

I've tried lots of scenarios to reproduce the crash at export DXF, including

1. Run Fusion 360 on mavericks with both English and Russian locale

2. Export DXF with or without stop sketch

3. Export in both direct and parametric modeling

4. Input both English and Russian text as file name

5. Slice/Un-slice sketch, show profile or not show profile.

However I still not able to reproduce the crash.

I am not sure if I missed some key points or it's a random issue that may not stably reproduced?

Regards,
Sally

Hi Sally,

I can reproduce the problem, just open the design...and it happens that you see in the video too:

http://youtu.be/rCmcZvyaIf0

Only one time was successful the export, but i still not able to reproduce.

I use the Maverick's english and hungarian localisation and nothing special.

Thanks for your help!

p.s.: Meanwhile, your colleague Sachin Patil contacted me about my crashreports.

Hi Adam,

Thanks for your quickly feedback!

Yes, we got a lot of CER report from you, and all of them should be related with export DXF.

Unfortunately, none of us were able to reproduce the crash with the scenario you mentioned.

Do you failed at export DXF for all sketch file or just the one you attached? I just want to know if it's file specific.

Regards,
Sally

I did a little experiment and I got strange results. It does't depend on design or project.

I made a new design (direct modeling) than i create a new sketch with a simple rectangle...the export is no problem.

I made another one sketch with closed splines...the export is no problem.

I made another sketch with one or more open ended splines (like in previously attached file)...the export is crashed.(Not always, but mostly.)

Maybe the open ended spline is it the problematic piece?

Thanks!

Many thanks for your continuously input to help us address the issue.

We are able to reproduce the crash now, it should be crash at spline area and we have reported it to development team for a solution.

Sally

I've got problem too.

Some part of my design can be "sketched" (right click create sketch) without any problem and some others just hang the software with nothing happening (it's not crashed though).

I'm on a mac.

EDIT :

Strangely, i closed fusion 360 reopenned it. I clicked the same part to turn it into a sketch and it worked. I don't have problems to export as .dxf though.
