Fusion 360 won't run correctly on my Macbook

I have a Macbook Pro 2.33ghz Core 2 Duo, 4 gig ram, running OSX 10.7.5. I also have Fusion 360 installed on a WIn 7 desktop and that runs fine.

When I run the program on the Macbook it opens fine. When I try to open any of  the designs I have previously created all I get is a screen with the 3 dots scrolling across. I can create a new design and that will work fine, sometimes.

On top of that I see no access to cam either. I have never been able to open a previous design that has a tool path.

I have unistalled and re installed to no avail.

The 3 dots sound like you are describing the design preview screen. See the below screenshot for clarification, is this what you're describing?

The image in the preview window utilizes Autodesk RaaS technology (Render as a Service) to generate high quality images. If a design is recently created, It may take some time before the preview is generated via the service or to download the preview.

If the Windows machine and the Mac machine are at different ends of the spectrum as far as hardware age/quality, there may be some difference in performance for this reason as well.

To access CAM 360, use the Open command to open the design workspace. On the toolbar along top, select the toolbox icon to get a drop down menu for creating derived documents.

Select Create Toolpath from Design to enter the CAM workspace.

Let me know if this helps or if you have further questions/concerns.

Cheers,

I should also note that CAM is not available on Mac this release. This may be why you haven't seen it!

From the Read Me for this release:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Help-and-Support/Fusion-360-Readme/td-p/4311780

"CAM for FUSION Known Issues
NOTE: The CAM functionality is only available for Windows environments. Mac support is in progress, and will be added in a future update."

Thanks,

That answered the question on why my Macbook won't open parts with toolpaths on them. I don't even have a tool box like you show.

Is there any timeframe when CAM for Mac may come about?

The mac tech preview should arrive in a few weeks.
