Fusion 360 install problem

Hello,

I have tried installing Fusion 360 on my Windows 7 Home Premium machine. After getting through about 75% of the process the installation fails with the error "......\acdbradres.dll has already been installed and cannot be delivered twice". Attached is the log file.

What's the next step?

Thanks,

Chris

Hello and Thank you for using the Community.

Please check Windows Control Panel, Programs and features to see if fusion 360 has been installed.  If it has been installed please uninstall. Prior to running the installer again please do the following:

-          Disable your User Account Control settings.

-          Disable your Anti virus software.

-          Make sure you are logged in as the administrator.

-          Make sure you are able to log into your Autodesk 360 account.

Hi Chris,

The problem may be that the "web deploy" folder is in a state where the installer thinks it's being written to.

Can you try:

1. Re-starting your system and login.

2. Launch My Computer and go to c:\users\<yourusername>\appdata\local\autodesk.

3. Check for the following folders and if present, delete them:

  • Autodesk Fusion 360
  • Web Services
  • Web Deploy
  • Neutron Platform

4. Next close My Computer and try re-installing.

If you continue to experience problems feel free to contact me at kevin.baribault@autodesk.com

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for your suggestions, it solved the problem.

The directory I found was "Web Deploy", which I deleted.

The installation went fine afterwards.

Regards,

Chris
