It likely will not work with the new mobo's
(motherboards). The P4 has a special 4 pin connector, that the old Power
supplies did not have.
Luckily the most new cases come with a power
supply that is suitable for AMD and Intel chipsets, and they start around 35
bucks. I say that because a new power supply is around 35 bucks
alone. Might as well get the new case, and salvage the old machine as a
Linux tester, or a print server.
I always recommend Antec Cases and power
supplies. I have never had any trouble from antec.
