outlook pst file

finally wiped my computer and installed XP Pro. now how do i make outlook
recognize my outlook.pst file as the file to use? i tried
file-open-personal folders file.... and now i have two inbox folders, two
contact folder, etc. one set has all my old stuff, so i didn't lose
anything, but the other set is the one that insists on recieving all the new
mail and it won't let me delete the second set. what did i do wrong? do i
have to drag everything from my old folder to my new folders? that seems to
work for most things but not for the calendar. heeellllppppppp

Use the "Import" function.

1. File > Open > Personal Folders File (pst) - this opens the pst file, you
will now have two separate pst files open in the folder list.

2. RMB on the newly opened folder in the folder list and select 'Properties
for "?????"'.

3. At the bottom of the dialogue box, check "Deliver POP mail to this
personal folders file".

That'll do it...
