FirePro V7900 vs Quadro 4000 vs Quadro 5000

I am specifying new PC hardware for our engineering group and I am wanting to know if the FirePro V7900 graphics card has any known issues when using product design suite ultimate 2013. From what I can tell the V7900 graphics card outperforms the Nvidia Quadro 4000 and Quadro 5000 in most tests and is $1000 less expensive than the Quadro 5000 (see attached file and article http://www.cgchannel.com/2011/10/review-professional-gpus-nvidia-vs-amd-2011/)

I also see that the V7900 is on the recommended list for Inventor 2012, but not 2013, and that the predecessor V7800 is on the recommended list for product design suite 2013, but the V7900 isn't. I've contacted Autodesk and my reseller and asked them and they were of no help.

Either one is fine.  So long as you are using a certified driver, you shouldn't have any issues.  Personally, I am partial to nVidia cards. I have always said that ATI stands for "Always Trashes Inventor."  Smiley Very Happy

I recently looked at the v7900 vs Q4000 question for my setup, and I found that being able to run 4 monitors from one card ended up swaying me to the V7900.  So far it is great running Civil 3d 2012, but not so much running Autocad 2000 LDD.   I went from a Quadro 600 and the speed difference was tremendous!
