Check with your insurance company.
It's been years since I checked with my insurance company. At that time they
would only cover a single PC with a maximum of something like $2500 on the
standard policy. With the number of households with multiple PC's increasing
and the price per computer significanly less, I would imagine it has
changed. I'm sure they have writers for increased coverage if needed.

I'm going to put AutoCAD on a laptop. It's an expensive laptop and I want
to insure it for theft. I am a homeowner. In your experience, is
homeowner's insurance sufficient for this or is there a better way to insure
it?
