Group,

We have just received the Canon imagePROGRAF iPF710 plotter.
I thought to ask how do you rated, experience someone might have and issues
to be aware of if any?/ drivers etc.
Using Acad 08' on XP pro, possibly upgrade to...2010 or 2011, engineering/
architectural drawings, mainly B/W.

Thanks for any input
Regards,
RC

I use a ipf700 and it is a good plotter but isn't used very often and
tends to need to have the maintenance cartridges replaced about every 6
months and the printheads tend to dry out causing it to make plots with
streaks...otherwise no real problems with it...

We have both the 700 and 710 Canons. I personally like them better than HPs. As someone else said, if you don't use them enough, they tend to gum up - this has been our issue as well. We typically run a plot of the AutoCAD color chart at 11x17 size to each one each week to work out the jets. Very dependable units - minimum service.
