Belkin n52(te)

Anyone out there use this device, or something like it, for use with any autodesk apps? It looks like it could make working in ACA (or many drafting, modeling apps) a lot more comfortable. I tried some of those very expensive mouse substitutes and they All sucked. But this is much different, as it is used in conjunction with the mouse. It looks like it would be very comfortable and much easier/faster for keyed entries. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

This place is obviously dead, so I hope no one takes offense that I repost this question in another forum - the "main" ACA forum. I hate to repost, but I really want to get an answer to this soon.

Maybe no one here has used on of those. I had to look it up to see just
what the heck you were talking about.

That's one fairly exotic piece of equipment.

This is peer support: sit tight and wait, someone will eventually comment IF
they want to my friend.

If you want immediate responses on the gadget, post at game sites.

I bought one of the earlier n50 models for $20USD. It's in a box
somewhere. Couldn't add ACAD view controls to the hat and rollers with
the included software. I was going to explore it a bit more, but the box
won. -Bill

Not using ACA, but it works quite well, IMO - not dirt cheap but worth the money. You might find otherwise, particularly if you type in a lot of notes, as your hands will be switching between the pad/mouse and the keyboard frequently. If you haven't done so already, set up your PGP file filrst.
If you find yourself switching applications lots it can be annoying to have the application auto-switch on, as it takes a couple of seconds to load the different profiles.
