another gpu thread!

currently researching a notebook purchase, 90% of the usage will be autocad2010 or 11 (depends which the boss will fund!)

5% revit (hopefully more in the future) and 5% sketchup

- outlook and skype running all the time

I am looking at a couple of machines that will be spec'd by me, built by someone else!

the option on gpu is NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 555M 2GB or  NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 520M 1GB 

going for  i5-2540M Dual Core with HT 2.6-3.3GHz 3MB Cache 35W  in both machines as the extra 100 quid to the i7 is a bit out of reach

8gb ram in both cases - really the only difference is gpu

i will be running an external monitor for a lot of the time, it will only be away from the desk for meetings/working from home so i'm fine with a 15.6 1600x900 screen
