Space and Zone Settings in Revit

I am preparing a model for analysis in GBS. If I have a space set up as "naturally ventilated only", and this space is within a zone, does the space settings override the zone settings (service type, cooling, heating, and outdoor air information)? There is no option for naturally ventilated under the zone's service type property!

Thanks for your input!

Ana

Hello,

The condition types in the Spaces are what will be applied to that space. GBS will group the spaces within zones differently based upon the condition types of the spaces; therefore the condition type of the Space will be used. The building service HVAC settings for Zones are not applied to the analysis--only HVAC systems in the Energy Analysis tab>Energy Settings dialog box. Note that in order for Space condition type settings to be applied to your analysis the Export Category in the Energy Settings dialog window must be set to Spaces (not Rooms).

Regards,

The BPA Team
