GBS support to gbXML scheme elements

Is there a list of gbXML elements that GBS supports? Does that match the same list of elements that Revit exports or does GBS support more gbXML element?

Hi,

GBS can read any valid gbXML file. Refer to gbXML Schema Support for more information about gbXML elements and attributes that are supported by Revit. You can also visit http://www.gbxml.org for more information about the gbXML schema. See Energy Analysis Model to understand how the energy model is created.

Here to help if additional clarification is needed, otherwise please accept as a solution so that others can benefit from this information.

Thank you for the link (gbXML Schema Support),
It shows the specific elements & attributes in the gbXML schema that Revit 2015 supports for export. Is there a similar specific list for the elements & attributes that GBS supports for import & export?

Hi,

GBS can read any valid gbXML file. There are some parameters that are overwritten in the process but GBS reads most of them such as building materials, all inputs for occupancy density, lighting, equipment loads, outside air.

You mentioned that some parameters get overwritten in the import process; Do you mind sharing that list? Which parameters exactly go through and which dont or get overwritten?
Are operation schedules one of the parameters that gets overwritten?

Hi,

As I mentioned most of them are valid. There are a few HVAC parameters that are hard coded. Unfortunately I cannot share the list.
