Domestic Hot Water contemporary use number of people

This is a residential building with two bathrooms and a kitchen for a family of 4 people. Tthe program considers 13 people! In the calculation of domestic hot water program takes into account the simultaneous use?

Thanks

Hello,

Can you confirm the building type you specified for your project when you submitted you file for energy analysis? It looks as if your building type is not assigned to Single Family. Please check that first by looking at the Energy Settings dialog box in Revit.

The program will apply a default occupancy density of 0.945 people per 100 sq meters. It looks like your project is 78 sq meters, which should calculate to approx 0.73 people (NOTE: this value is used for calculating per person energy consumption usage) .

The simulation assumes a domestic how water demand of 0.001230125 liters per second per person. This load is modified by the assumed hourly schedule, which assigns a multiplier to the peak demand. The maximum multiplier is 0.9.

Regards,

The BPA Team
