Showcase - image mapping setting locked

Hi there,

I am unable to adjust the offset / rotate / repeat and translate / scale / rotate setting when creating a new material using an image file as the colour.

Please could you let me know how I unlock these setting.

Regards

Adam

Hi Adam,

that image is not enought to evaluate the case.

Try to select your textured material directly in the model, then go in the material properties.

You should ne able to autofit/resize it.

Or...did you create alternatives?

Maybe the material you used apprear in the Material Scene icon like this:

es1.jpg

With an asterisk.

That indicates that that material is used in alternatives and you can't edit it because of that (active link to the alternatives).

In this case you can create for example a duplicate material  and apply it.

somehow showcase has different ways of selecting material properties.
one is material properties itself, and the other is material properties related to geometry..

in both cases you can change all the basic parameters, but for the texture placing / dimension you need to use the geometry related one.

to access the generic material properties, it's enough to right click the material icon and select properties.

to access the geometry related you have to:
1. press ctrl+M to open the material properties window. with nothing selected, this window will be all greyed out.
2. right click an object
3. select the voice "select all object with this material" (NOT MATERIAL TYPE).

if ou select a single object, as soon as you start modifing parameters you wil automatically create a copy of the material related to the object you have selected.

since you have selected all the objects with that particular material (also the hidden one), you will actually modify the original one, but the texture options will be available since you have geometries selected.

Hi,

You just need to uncheck the "texture linked" option to have access to the Move gizmo.

Have a look at this video:

Make sure you are using Showcase Material type.
