Hi,
I have a challenge - I need to import a large sat file to Showcase and apply various materials...
(It is one room including interior extracted from a building)
How do I do this?
Is it possible to transform the objects to solids?
And then explode it - to separate the interiors from the floor or even fx to separate the legs from the seat of a chair?
Thanks for your time 🙂
Best regards,
Charlotte
You can extract for example patches as new objects.
I would consider too to export the assembly as step, to obtain all the parts/objects already created.

Yes, you can open the sat file with inventor so, if in the sat file there are solid bodies, you'll have assembly and parts.
Just check inventor import options before...
The result can also depend on the sat file itself... if the sat file contains only surfaces ... inventor maybe not the best solution....
Then (after your work in inventor to eventually separate parts...) use the suite workflows to send your model in showcase.
In showcase then you can apply all the materials you need.
Or you can try to import the sat in 3ds max, export it via fbx (2013 fbx version!!!) an import it in showcase.
Try and let me Know.
