Problems loading part

Dear,

I have a problem with Autodesk Showcase 2015. If I open it and want to render the car from autodesk self, it works fine. When I try to open an own file, it crashes immediately. I send the error file a couple times but never had an answer.

I use windows 8.1.

Autodesk Inventor 2015 works fine and my pc is normaly good enough for both programs.

Please, can anyone help me?

Kind regards,

Kyani

You must provide more infos....
Pc specs, error message...
You can also attach an example of your model

you can also check showcase log files. maybe the error is explained there...
in windows explorer type %TEMP% and searc for files named Showcase 2015Log
open the files with notepad.

Bye

Sorry,

Here more information. I have removed and reinstalled inventor and showcase. This gives still the same problem.

The file isn't really necessary because I can't open any own file.

My computer specifications:

- Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-3632QM CPU @ 2.20GHz

- RAM: 8.00 GB

- System: 64-bits x64-processor

The error:

Errors

Is this enough information?

Thanks for your help!

so this happens when you open a file saved from you or when you try to import a source file from, i think, inventor?

Yes. Sometimes I can open a project file but sometimes not. It crashes always.

another small question, i see you're running it on a laptop (the processor is an M series): does it have an nvidia gaming graphics (geforce)? if you also have the intel embed graphic card, try running showcase with that card

I don't understand what you mean. Do you want the whole list of maps?

as i expected.
run it using the intel integrated graphic card.
old geforce drivers have problem with showcase since release 320.19.

if it works, try to:
1. upgrade drivers to the latest (not tested)
2. find driver version earlier than 320.18

I add a view from NVIDIA GeForce.

Now my driver is up to date.

But Showcase crashed again with the same error.

you have to set the default graphic card for showcase to the intel card..

use the nvidia panel to do that..
i'm quite sure it's the geforce driver not supporting showcase that causes the crash..
