Keyframe Animation Error after publishing movie

Hello Showcase Forum,

I've been teaching myself alot of functions in showcase but today I ran into a big problem wich made me redo a animation for like 10 times, so as you understand i'm sick of it 😛

My Project:

I have a tool and i'm going to explain how it works within an animation.

I used Aternative lineups + Different shots + Behaviors

My problem:

I've made like 4 Keyframe Animations and they work perfectly in publisher!

But when I create a movie of this animation it will not show the movement of the parts smoothly and sometimes it just skips parts.

After I make a movie of my animation the storyboard laggs like hell, so I open the old file(that doesn't have a movie made from it) and it works perfectly.

I'm working with Inventor 2014 and Showcase 2014.

Thanks in advance!

Paul

Also I get a Windows color scheme error:

The color scheme has been changed to Windows 7 Basic.

And I work on a Windows 7 Professional workstation.

The change to color scheme basic is normal.

Can you attach the whole scene zipped?

You will have  a quicker solution.

thanks for the confirmation about windows colors xD

But my file is to big to upload here, it is 24,5 MB

Is there somewhere else I can upload it so you can see it for yourself?

I put in a video witch shows the animation i'm going for but it only works half ways.

in 1 slide I put the keyframe aniamation to play forward from start and after that play backward from end.

but it only plays the 1st behavior.

are you creating 2 slide, one fwd and one bkwd?
if you need a single animation i think it's better to put the 2 animation one after the other, or, make a single long behavior..

Thanks for saying that I have to put every behavior in a different storyboard slide, but that was not all!

I used alternative lineups(AL) to make parts more visable but every behavior you use with a AL has to be made inside that AL.

Here is my finished project!

well, if you change the animated element of course you have to animate it again..
said that you have an animation in blue and one in grey, if the grey thing is not just a material change but a geometry change, of course you have to animate the second geometry too..

a quick trick is to create a group and animate the group instead of a single geometry..
basically you add all the geoetries you have to animate to a single grpup using the organizer.
then you select the group and create the behavior..
last, you add the object to the needed alternatives..
this way should work..

and sicne the group remains in showcase, everytime you add a new geometry that needs that animation, you just add it to the group and the job is done

Hahah well maybe its logic to you but the only thing i was trying to achive with the alternative lineups was collering the parts.

Wich doesn't make me even think about the fact that the Alternative lineup and the behavior are so connected even though i didn't change any of the parts position.

But thanks for all the help!

I will look into making groups!

see you next time with a new problem to fix xD

you mean coloring?
did you use the material lineup? because it looks strange that a material lineup behaves like this..

well I had some trouble with the alternative lineups - Design view materials, so i didnt use it

I used the Design view visability.

This is probebly where I went totally wrong?

yes.
visibility hide/show object..
therefore, to do that, you (or the software automatically) created a copy of the original geometry to show/hide..
if you go through the organizer and select the blue "trigger" and then the grey one, yuo'll see they're two different objects.

viceversa, material lineups assign different material to same object that, at this point, can be animated freely while changing material in real time
