Hi to all,

i am not a 3ds expert, which is your best workflow to export a Showcase animation (with Inventor constrains derived  behaviours) in 3ds max?

FBX?

Thanks to all of you guys :smileyhappy:

i don't believe this is possible

i know you can import an animation from 3ds max via .fbx to showcase but not the other way around

but someone can correct if i am wrong or a possible workaround

HI,

unfortunatly, what you are creating in Showcase in terms of Custom materials, animation (behavior), alternative, cross sections, ect will not be tranfert to 3ds Max Design. Only the some materials (autodesk Materials) cameras and model are transferable.

Showcase is a presentation software and not intended as a interop software.

You might be able to find a creative workflow but I am not aware of one.

You can easily bring 3ds Max animation or Inventor constraint to Showcase but not the other way around.

Thanks

Marion.

When you traslate the Inventor constraint in Showcase behavior it's created a FBX file in the scene folder, with the name of the constraints, that contain the animation.

Is it useless for the intent with 3dsmax?

I have tried...something moving...but clearly something missing...

That is correct. Inventor Constraints are not supported in 3ds Max Design. FBX or Not.
