I have an open file, that I have been working on the last 5 hours and I can not save it. I just see the wheel turning around in an eternity.
I do not dare close the file and Fusion down in fear of losing my data. It is hard to recreate.
I briefly saw an error message when I tried to save the file, but it disappeared quickly so I did not read it.
What can I do? Can I go offline and save the file and then at a later time go back online when the problem is solved?

This time I captured the error message.
That is why I do not dare close the file and Fusion in fear of losing my data.
I've looked into my Fusion log. I do not know much about what I look for, but here are a few excerpts that looks suspicious:
It seems that I'm about to save two files at the same time, which I do not believe I am doing.

I had the same yesterday, couldn't even access the cloud through the dashboard for a while. I was able to go offline and save as new file did a close and reopen to make sure the file saved offline. Then shut fusion down and restarted the saved copy uploaded to the cloud quite quickly and the original completed it's upload a few minuets later. Doesn't fill you with confidence does it.

Thank you for sharing your experience and guide.
Yes, it is a frightening experience, but I am sure that Fusion team do what they can to resolve the issue.
I think that the long term solution might be that Fusion first save locally, after which the file is uploaded to the server. A bit like Dropbox.
Hi Everyone,
We sincerely apologize that you are seeing this issue and we are seeing the same internally as well. We are actively investigating the root cause for this problem and hopefully have an update for you shortly.
In the interim, if you have a models that is failing to save – the safest way to preserve data is to switch to the offline mode and save locally. This will make sure that the design is saved locally and the next time you get back online (and the problem from our side is addressed), the design should continue to upload to the cloud.
Also what would be of great help is if you can send me your diagnostic log files Help – Diagnostics log file – which will generate a .zip file. Please email the zip file to raj.kumar.ilanchelian@autodesk.com
I will update this thread as we know more. Once again apologize for the inconvenience.

We have identified the problem tracking back to one of our servers that was restarted. The save issue should now be addressed. IF you were in the offline mode to progress with your work, please make an edit to the design in the offline mode and save it. Now going back online should get the design back online.
Once again we apologize for this intermittent issue. Please do let us know if you are still seeing the problem.
NOTE: As a precaution, you can also back up your design in the offline cache folder in the event you encounter any issues going back online. The offline cache folder location for windows and Mac are below.
Windows – C:\Users\USER NAME\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\200**********\PLM360Cache\a360pro******.autodeskplm360.net\1
Mac – From the finder go to – Library – Application Support – Autodesk – Autodesk Fusion 360 - 200**********-PLM360Cache-a360pro******.autodeskplm360.net-1

Thank you. Unfortunately I am still having a problem with one of my models. I did go to offline mode and saved the file locally. I the closed fusion and reopened it, went back to online mode but alas I am still getting the error message.
The upload progress dialog said the file had been uploaded but the spinning save wheel is still spinning and I am still getting the error message from before.
Yes, I same problem.
Luckily I saved an offline copy with a new name yesterday, but the old file still will not save (spinning wheel). At first all was fine, but after working for an hour the save problem came back.
I fear that if I save the new file the system will stall because only one file at a time can be saved.
Questions to Fusion support:
I can go on the server and delete the file from yesterday or should I just work online until the problem is solved?
After gong back online, I have only been working on one file and deleted another. But when I want to quit Fusion, I got at message telling me that I have 6 data uploads in progress. After an hour there was still 6 data uploads in progress.
Hopefully the data is uploaded tomorrow, so I can continue working in the weekend on my laptop
Hi Kumarra
I still have great difficulty working online in Fusion, so I have been in offline mode for 6 days. I believe that some files may block the upload process.
I have tried to delete the files from the cloud. I have also tried to keep uploading for 10 hours, but the progress bar did not move at all.
I will send you Fusion360DiagnosticLogs. Please look into my account and fix the problem.
My troubles started yesterday evening/today with uploading and saving. Seems like after the Cloud was offline couple of hours.
Fusion takes forever (sometimes) to start up. Saving is extremely slow and quite often it just goes into "Not responding" mode. Then with one model I had message "you're working on v5, but there is a newer v0 available", so something was screwed up there. Even now I have one model that is in spinning wheel mode, doesn't seem to be quitting any time soon.
Not sure if they are all separate or related issues. Very annoying indeed.
I would vote for changing the save-upload scheme into saving first locally and then uploading in background, like was mentioned previously. There's no need to block the user while upload is (maybe) in progress.
I have diagnostic files, if anyone is interested in them.
Hi 3dpb,
How have you solved the problem?
I have had the same problems some times and I have just thougth is eraser the file from cloud without before doing a file copy.
As well, the problem with infinite save is that it not works viewer for showing people.
Regards
Gilberto
Hi Gilberto
I think you should contact Raj (Kumarra from this tread) or mail: raj.kumar.ilanchelian@autodesk.com
He helped me via Skype and mail to delete some PLM360Cache files in my system.
The files was located here in my system (Mac): Library – Application Support – Autodesk – Autodesk Fusion 360 - TQMPME87NF9N - PLM360Cache - a360proue29cba76.autodeskplm360.net – UploadQueue
It is quite complicated to find the files and select the correct files to be deleted. But once the files are deleted everything works perfectly again.
I would not recommend that you do it on your own without guidance from the support team.
