I have a simple desing that I just can figure out how model. I have it pertty much compelte but can't get a loft the way I want. The sculpt loft creates the correct shape but it needs to cut away not create a new body. Anyone I can share this with to get some help?
DM me some notes and a link to a public share so i can get the file.
It is a carburator adapter. I have the basic shape created from the model environment. The last element in the time line is a sculpt loft. I would like to close that off into a solid and subtract it from the modeled part. If you can figure out what I am trying to do, could you provide a brief explaniation so I can learn how to complete it on my own?

It looks like you were able to figure out how to utilize the Sculpt Loft by patching the ends and create a boundary fill. You may also use the Solid Combine tool to subtract one body from another body.
I'm not sure if this helps, but you may be able to use a Model Loft command with a Cut operation to create correct shape. In the below video, I highlight the continuity controls in the loft command that will allow you to modify the shape of your loft and adjusting a profile's Takeoff Weight or Angle.
Check out the video below and let me know if this helps to answer your question.
Thank you for the time to make this video. i was trying that command but was struggling. Also if you look a the model when I used the loft from sculpt it creates an undercut area that is what I was trying to do.
not sure how to explain it but if you look at part straight on you can see the difference in the lofts between yours and mine. I am not sure what that rise does exactly but it is in the one I am trying to duplicate. Thank you again.
