Is there a way to select the edges around a face or chamfer from a face

I've pulled fairly complex sketch and want to bevel or chamfer the edges of the top face, it looks like the only way is to laboriously select every edge.  Is there something I'm missing?

How about use region selection?

@marshaltu that would be fine for an object as simple as a box, but more complex geometry that has many other features the selection window would grab unnecessary items and chamfer those, as well.

So, please attach your model so we all know what you are trying to do.

Sorry. This is under NDA, but I can answer questions you have about my statement.

Same question. This is my model. Basically a cookie cutter and would like to chamfer the top face along both edges for a sharpened/ thinned face

Just occurred to me I could do an angled extrusion off of the face... which would probably give the result I want.

Yeah that definitely won't work for this complicated of a shape that has inner and outer angles.

Please share the file.

Hi,

Without working on the contours (softer transitions) this will not work.

At these and numerous other points, self-intersections occur that prevent the operation.

I'm working off a logo so I can't make major changes, but some of the very sharp edges are just from offsetting the path in Illustrator. I don't suppose you know of a smoohing technique so that I can avoid identifying every stray inflection point?

Hi,

take a look at the file.
