Crashed on update so I uninstalled and now I can not reinstall.

OSX 10.9.5

I was getting the messgae to updat or quit so I uopdated and when the update got done loading it said Fsuin will restart, however it never did restart and I got this message

I tried multiple times with the same result. 

 

I then deicided to unistall using the following instructions. 

 

MAC

  Uninstalling

      1. Move the Autodesk Fusion 360 and/or Autodesk Sim 360 dock icons to the trash.

 

  Clearing your cache files

      2. Start a new Finder window.
      3. In the Finder Menu (Apple bar on top), select Go > Go to Folder
      4. Enter ~/Library in the dialog that comes up
      5. Browse to Application Support/Autodesk/and move the following folders to the trash:

          - Webdeploy
          - Web Services
          - Autodesk Fusion 360
          - MC3
          - Synergy
          - NINVFUS (if present)
          - Neutron Platform
          - Common
          - Autodesk Sim 360 (if present)
          - NSIM (if present)

      6. Next navigate to $TMPDIR/Autodesk (open a Terminal window, and

          type:open $TMPDIR/Autodesk) and move the following folders to the trash:

          - Autodesk Fusion 360 and/or Autodesk Sim 360
          - BrowserCache
          - Neutron Test Application
          - Project Forge (if present)
          - Project Simulus (if present)

 

After downloaiding from the website to reinstall I keep getting this error. Please Help!

Sorry to hear about the update troubles. Can you attached the Autodesk.webdeploy.streamer.log file that the error message is referencing? This may contain information that will help to troubleshoot this issue.

Please forgive my ignorance but im not sure how to get that log info at this point.

Go to a Finder window and browse to ~Library/Logs 

 

There looks like there's a link in the message center. The exact directory is also referenced in the warning itself, albeit the window could be resized to make it easier to read. 

 

I hope that helps... Let me know if you are still having trouble finding it!

This is a bit of a guess.. but, could you try going through the clean uninstall procedure one more time, but with one additional step?

 

The additional step is:

  • Browse to /Users/SaintLawrenceTitle/Applications/
  • And make sure that the Autodesk Fusion 360.app file has been deleted

When launching the installer, make sure that it is the latest installer from Fusion360.Autodesk.com.

 

Before launching the installer, double check the activity monitor and make sure that there are no instances of Fusion 360 or streamer running in the background. 

 

Let me know if that helps. If you get another error, please repost the updated log file.
