XML crashing Smoke 2015 ext1

I am trying to import an FCP7 XML into Smoke but it keeps crashing.

The import progress bar almost gets to the end then it halts and throws up the crash report pop-up with an error : Unhandled Exception - very helpful!

I have tried to simplify the XML in FCP, i have tried to import without linking media and with linking but makes no difference, neither does trying different options on the Alpha channel handling. 

Any ideas how i can resolve this? being a novice Smoker, im still at a loss what to do when trying to fault find this app.

Hi,

It crashes on my machine too so I have logged it as a bug and sent it to the team…

Try stripping out all effects off possible and let me know.
