Hi,
We have recently upgraded one of our iMacs from 10.6 to 10.9. In doing so our Smoke software will no longer launch. This was occurring with 2013 SP1 and due to what we believed was a compatibility issue; we have since updated it to 2013 SP3. Unfortunately the program will still not launch. When you try to open it the Smoke icon will bounce around in the dock for 1-2 minutes without bringing up the gui and will then become unresponsive and require a "force quit".
The only bit out of dmesg referring to smoke has been pasted below.
process smoke[533] caught causing excessive wakeups. Observed wakeups rate (per sec): 737; Maximum permitted wakeups rate (per sec): 150; Observation period: 300 seconds; Task lifetime number of wakeups: 45190

Any insight as to why it will no longer launch would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Matt
Hi Brian,
Thank you for responding. We have already removed SP1 from the system via the smoke uninstall tool. Are there any files in the system Library that need to be removed manually? Could the pre-existing frame store storage be causing complications? We are trying to avoid completely wiping the system and rebuilding if at all possible. Thanks again.
Cheers,
Matt
