Sparks crashing my project, now i cannot re-open it.

Im using the 2015 Ext 1 Smoke, and have the latest Sapphire Sparks installed. 

 Adjusting a setting in a Spark node caused a crash, and now i cannot restart that Project - it just keeps trying to initialise the knackered spark and crashes again.

Is there a way to start a project without initialising the Spark?

Any suggestions how to get around such problems when they occur?

Best thing to so would be to contact support and see if there is a backup of the project they can get to.
