Importing camera original media shot on Sony F5 camera for color correction.
I've seen the original S-Log look from the offline proxy exported elsewhere, but in MediaHub the original file only appears with extremely high contrast, peaking whites and crusing blacks.
Under Format Specific Options, under SonyRaw -> Colour, Native, Scene Linear (Rec709), ACES (daylight), ACES (tungsten). None of these reveal a flat image.
I'm not that familiar with this format, but my media includes .xml and .md5 files in the original folder format.
Has anyone imported SonyRaw media with success?
Hi,
What version of Flame Premium are you running?
In Flame Premium 2015 ext 3, there should be more options to deal with the media.
The other consideration you need to give, is if the media sits in another colour space, you might need to apply a viewing LUT to the display.... Video/Log/Linear/custom LUT.
Hope this helps.

Running Flame Assist 2015. Still waiting for our Engineering to update us.
I wasnt sure how it would behave once imported, but this is what I did.
I used the Rec709 Colour option then in Pre-Processing I applied a LogtoLin resize. Based on the contrast of the Linear import, I didnt think any shadow or highlight detail would be revealed, but it was all preserved. I was able to view the footage in Log format.
I was hoping to see more options on import, but sounds like those features have been added.
Hi, could you precise the config you used in Format options and pre-processing? This sounds wrong.
If you want to get a format with all the dynamic, it can be scene linear or log based. For log SonyRaw give you access to different flavours of SLog and gamut mapping.
